Talk: 20 Years of Music, Movement & Community
Illusionary Rockaz Company
An invitation to listen, look back and discover how music moves people, shapes communities and keeps a culture alive
This year, FUNK.IRC looks at legacy across generations through the personal stories of Lucas Benjamin and DJ Nobunaga. In 2006, the two Dutch dancers, then known as Lu-Chi’sz & Panic, shifted their focus to DJing. Twenty years later, they’re still familiar names in the international dance battle scene and beyond. For the first time, they take a moment to look back on two decades of staying connected to dance, music and community. At the heart of it all is music - the driving force behind dance, and a thread that continues to carry culture from one generation to the next.
