GIRLS WON’T BE GIRLS is een viering én herdefiniëring van alles wat je dacht te weten over vrouwelijkheid, mannelijkheid en alles daartussenin. Met muziek, dans, drag, cabaret en spoken word vieren we nieuwe perspectieven en échte verhalen.
Overdag bieden we een gevarieerd programma vol inspirerende workshops. ’s Avonds staat een wervelende show op het programma. We sluiten af met een afterparty op het grote podium, compleet met DJ’s, acts en glitters.
Stap binnen. Voel je welkom. Lach, huil, twijfel met ons mee. Herken jezelf in ons. Adem even uit… Maar let op: deze show zou zomaar je leven kunnen veranderen…

Boys Won’t Be Boys is een maatschappelijke theaterbeweging die sinds 2018 ruimte maakt om gendernormen te doorbreken. Door het delen van persoonlijke verhalen schudden ze vastgeroeste ideeën op, en creëren ze een verbindende ruimte waar diversiteit gevierd wordt. Met hun projecten reflecteren ze op ouderwetse denkbeelden en bouwen ze aan een samenleving waarin vrijheid en inclusie de norm zijn.
In 2024 ontvingen zij een Winq Diversity Award voor hun vernieuwende aanpak in het samenbrengen van de queer- en heterogemeenschap en hun bijdrage aan de diversiteit in het culturele landschap.
Boys Won’t Be Boys gebruikt theater om onzichtbare verhalen zichtbaar te maken en geven ze ruimte aan verschillende perspectieven. Of je nu een ervaren artiest bent, een amateur of voor het eerst op een podium staat - bij Boys Won’t Be Boys krijgt iedereen een stem. Hun missie: een maatschappij waarin niemand in een hokje wordt geplaatst en waarin emancipatie geen strijd, maar een vanzelfsprekendheid is.

We verkennen de grens tussen vechtkunst en dans. Je gebruikt je lichaam op een manier die je misschien niet gewend bent: krachtig én zacht, explosief én vloeibaar. We werken met Muay Thai-oefeningen, somatische beweging, ademhaling en dans. En bewegen steeds heen en weer tussen inspanning en ontspanning.
Verwacht zweet, poëzie in beweging, en een lichaam dat verrast.
Geen ervaring nodig. Wel: sportkleding, shorts, en iets warms voor erna.

Na een korte introductie ga je zelf aan de slag en vertaal je jouw ideeën naar een eigen (queer) statement. Van collage tot illustratie – alles mag.
Je gaat naar huis met je eigen gemaakte button. 💜🌈

Bustie La Tish is a French performance artist based in Amsterdam, whose work spans burlesque, MC-ing, comedy, and live event production. At 50, as a plus-size woman, she brings fearless authenticity to every stage — exploring themes of vulnerability, sensuality, desire, and body liberation with humour, warmth, and unapologetic sass.
Her performances range from tender and moving to gloriously provocative, always rooted in a commitment to removing stigma and celebrating sensuality across all bodies. Whether draping herself in silk, sitting in cake, or holding space for raw human truth, Bustie turns the stage into an invitation — to laugh, to feel, and to reclaim.
Beyond performing, Bustie is a producer and community organiser. She founded Smut Slam Amsterdam and has created politically charged shows including ‘GOSH!’, weaving activism and artistry into events that are as joyful as they are necessary.

Her sets are a dynamic fusion of deep grooves, heavy rhythms, and unexpected twists that keep the dancefloor moving. With a sharp ear for high-energy belters, she blends the raw energy of UK bass, dubstep, breakbeat, and garage. Starting her career in nightlife producing some of the biggest FLINTA*-centred events in the city, YONIC is dedicated to amplifying queer artists and carving out space for underrepresented voices in the club scene.
